The iXS European Downhill Cup returns to Innerleithen, Scotland for the only UK round of Europe’s premier downhill series. Running over three days from 15th—17th June, the World’s best downhill racers will pit their skills against each other at the spiritual home of the UK downhill scene.
The fun starts on Thursday 14th June at the Film Night in the Union Club at 19.15. On Friday it’s practice for the riders and the Official iXS Cup Innerleithen Launch Party in the Traquair Arms, with all welcome from 20.00 to enjoy the disco and relax outdoors in the marquee to bask in the Scottish summer evening.
It’s down to serious business on Saturday, race seeding runs start 14.30. While that is going on there is a Mini DH race for the younger riders. Hang around in the arena for the early evening dual slalom, open to all with £3 entry fee, just bring a bike and a helmet.
Sunday is the main event, the iXS European Downhill Cup Innerleithen race finals. The riders get a bit of last minute practice in the morning then it’s race heads on for the big day from 12.30 ! Podiums will take place 30 mins after the last rider crosses the line.
